The most honest and understanding mechanic I have ever been too. cut me a fair price and worked around my schedule so I didn't have to take time off of work. Even had it done in time so I could pick my kids up from school. Went so far as to give me a ride home when I dropped my car off so I didn't have to hoof it in the cold. I won't take my car anywhere else.
My car has never failed on me. They over charged me for a $45 part but fixed the problem. Only to have it suddenly quit running 3 blocks from the shop. He said it was a part that I had just replaced that had failed. :-\ ...not so sure about that. I had just replaced the distributor and accompanying sensors and parts which included the ignition module on a 92 accord that he claimed failed. He "fixed" that and now my car stalls when you hit the brakes when the tank is below 1/4. Two coo incidences like that? I don't think so. My car has been very reliable when I did all the work. This is the only time is has broken down and I still drive the thing.
I work for a competitor, but the folks at our shop have only kind words for these folks. Our industry would do well if everyone were as professional. I am amused to read reviews by shade tree mechanics, complaining about professionals, when their own ineptitude is exposed.
Took my 94 Accord in to have it looked at. 40.00 the first time I was in, they charged me but never mentioned anything about the codes for the check engine light. Car dies for the 2nd time at random. Bring the car back in and they want to charge me 25.00 for diagnostic fee and still not put on the paperwork what the codes were. Car has died on me 3 times since. I'm taking my business to the Honda Dealership!
Took out accord in for diagnostics and they looked at it twice and charged us twice and still didn't figure it out.
