The food was everything we hoped. It was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great. Our server did a fabulous job as 3 of our group was at the restaurant in time, but 2 of us were about 2 hours late due to a traffic hold up. In all we were at the table about 3.5 hours, yet he stayed right with us and was helpful and attentive the entire time. This is definitely on our favorites list. We'll be back.
Great food and service. Certainly will return. Rob at the bar is a great addition to the Bistro, understands how to connect with a customer!
We had the vegetarian entree tonight and it was surprisingly disappointing. The curry was too spicy for me, but that's a personal opinion and has nothing to do with my rating.
With all these 5 stars, I had to try this place but I agree with some of the lower rates below that they are lacking in service which is unusual for a restaurant of this caliber. When we arrived, one of the young girls at the door barely acknowledged us and even laughed at us when we accidentally followed the server when we thought she wanted us to follow her. Sunday brunch menu was lacking in varieties and I was hoping they would also serve lunch menu on Sunday. No one even acknowledged that we were leaving, which made us feel unwelcome. I guess this restaurant may serve good food but I probably wouldn't go back their again and would not recommend this "5 star" restaurant to anyone solely based on their food quality.
The rice was totally overcooked, to the point where it was mushy and a bit watery. Maybe my expectations were too high, as I had read several good reviews before we decided to come. I was expecting the rice to temper the heat of the curry but it was so overcooked it was inedible, which ruined the whole thing. We also didn't realize that selecting the vegetarian option meant that we didn't get to choose the sides. We were excited to try some of the sides, and maybe that would have made up for the soupy rice. Out server was great. He was kind about our feedback and helpful throughout the entire meal. Maybe a different vegetarian feature on a different night would be better, but I doubt we'll be back to try again.
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great wine selection! Most of the food was spectacular but gyoza appetizer wasn't great -- should have been steamed instead of fried. Also I expected pork belly to be seared and more crisp. All in all a good experience and will visit again.
